Total workout is a popular 'full body workout' and is exclusively offered at the VU Sports Centre!
The training is focused on improving your overall fitness. By using many different workout forms (circuit, body shape, weights, working in pairs and aerobics) you’ll improve your overall physique as well as boosting the body fat burning. You control the intensity easily, because you can vary in repetitions and amount of weight used.

Total Workout is a good summer option for the Bootcamp participants too. If the Bootcamp classes stop temporarily in winter, this is the perfect way to keep in shape and to be fit once you are going outside again, when Bootcamp starts again!
This training is unique and exclusively offered at the VU Sports centre! The combination of diverse ways of working out makes Total Workout a varied and challenging class, which will challenge you constantly. There will be components from classes like Body Shape and BBBB, but also circuit training, combined into a full body workout. Because all muscle groups will have to work, and the heart rate is pumped up quite a bit. Total Workout is the ideal training to improve your physical fitness and stimulate fat burning. You control the intensity of the workout. Vary in the amount of repetitions and the weight of the dumbbells and you will find a fitting workout for any fitness level.
The barbells, dumbbells, tubes, Dyna bands and mats used for Total Workout are available at the sport studios of VU Sport centre. For a Total Workout class, it is important to wear good and supporting indoor sport shoes as well as comfortable sportswear. You are obviously more than welcome to bring your own mat if you want to. Besides that, we recommend you bring a bottle of water and a towel. Pay attention: Using a towel is obliged at the VU Sports Centre, both for the group classes and in the fitness areas.
