Barre can be described as a combination of Pilates / Posture Pilates / Barre.

Throughout the class you are consciously or unconsciously tightening your core. Your body is, as it were, walked along doing strength exercises as well as flexibility exercises.

  • Needed: Mat, socks or ballet shoes

At the VU Sports Center, you can take a Barre class every week.

This complete body workout has low impact and high intensity. It allows you to improve strength, flexibility and coordination. The class includes two components:

  • exercises from our Posture Pilates class (strength exercises, stretches and coordination exercises for optimal posture in everyday life
  • exercises at the bar (ballet barre) focusing on exercises with short repetitions, stretches and ballerina style.
