Circuit training is a group class in the fitness area and lasts 30 to maximum 45 minutes. You will work different muscle groups at maximum effort. You’ll train both muscle strength and physical fitness. Circuit training entails relatively many strength exercises, but because you keep going you’ll work on your endurance levels as well.

CIRCUIT TRAINING AT VU SPORTS CENTRE

This group class was recently added to the VU Sports Centre of the Uilenstede location in Amstelveen. But it has been part of the VU Campus Amsterdam program for a longer time already.

The class is aimed at anyone who is looking for ´inspiration´ for new exercises, anyone who doesn’t exactly know how to work out and for anyone who rather works out together with others. The class doesn’t include a warming-up, so make sure you do that upfront. You are welcome to indicate which muscle groups you would like to train, if you do so, the instructor will keep that into account as much as possible. To join, you simply register at the information desk of the fitness area (first floor at Uilenstede or the reception desk at VU Campus). Circuit training takes place anywhere in the fitness area. It’s compulsory to bring a towel.

WHAT IS CIRCUIT TRAINING?

Circuit training is a group class in the fitness area and lasts 30 to maximum 45 minutes. You will work different muscle groups at maximum effort. You’ll train both muscle strength and physical fitness. Circuit training entails relatively many strength exercises, but because you keep going you´ll work on your endurance levels as well. Most exercises are carried out in pairs. And you’ll certainly feel it!

Circuit training is ideal for anyone who is looking for ´inspiration´ for new exercises or anyone who rather works out together with others. If you don’t know exactly how to work out, circuit training might be a good option too. People with questions about strengthening certain muscle groups, can indicate those during the circuit training.
