Conscience and relaxation bring balance to our stressed and busy lives. That makes sense, but how to reach that state?

Yoga, a century old philosophy, compliments our modern and western way of life very well. It is not 'alternative' or difficult at all! You don´t need a very flexible body or to be able to stand on your head. It is more about feeling good, being relaxed and finding a balance between strength and relaxation. In our classes we pay a lot of attention to breathing techniques and relaxation exercises.

We offer several types of yoga: Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative and Partner. You can check in the schedule to see which type is given in which class. All yoga classes take place at one of the studios at location Uilenstede in Amstelveen.


This is a fairly quiet type of yoga, with more static poses to control body and mind. It is the most famous type of yoga in the Western world. Hatha is not as dynamic as a Vinyasa class. The class is both powerful and intensive, as well as tranquil and silent. The classical static yoga poses are combined in a dynamic series. Hatha begins and finishes with a short meditation where, amongst other things, attention will be paid to focusing the mind.


This is a dynamic form of yoga, in which breathing exercises and meditation play a big role. A good breathing pattern and meditation creates more rest, relaxation and energy. That is why you’ll leave feeling amazing in your own skin!


This form of yoga has a restorative power on all levels. The classes are perfect for beginners, for people with a medical condition or injuries, and basically for anyone who would like to keep it simple. As opposed to other types of yoga, this form uses deep and complete breathing for a longer period in a pose. The classes finish with a guided meditation. Restorative yoga restores health, improves healing and brings peace and quiet in the head.


This workshop is for those who wish to deepen their knowledge and their practice of Yoga. Yoga workshop will cover technical cues about Yoga postures in standing, balancing and seated. Highly recommended for beginner students and regular practionners.
