Xcore stands for Extreme core and is the ultimate abdominal and back workout
The movements during the class are mainly focused on strengthening the core (abdomen and back). The workout to the beats of uplifting music is fun and works super motivating. Xcore is suitable for everyone!
Because of the different sizes/weights of the Xcore trainers (tubes with grit) you can start at your own level and make it as heavy and intense as you want.
Extreme core
Sportcentrum VU offers the group lesson Xcore at the location Uilenstede in Amstelveen: The ultimate abdominal and back workout. Reservations are not needed for this class. This class is given regularly at the studio, location Uilenstede in Amstelveen. The movements during the class are mainly focused on strengthening the core (abdomen and back). Xcore is suitable for everyone!
Xcore lessons
During the lessons you do exercises with the Xcore trainer (the tube with grit). By moving the tube from left to right, the grit follows with a delay. You catch this movement of the grit. Each movement creates an extra load which gives your muscles an extra workout. You are not only training your muscles, but also your connective tissue. The developers of Xcore call this 'Reactive impact'.
Working out with the Xcore trainer means intensive training of your core; the abdomen and back. Xcore is the perfect workout for muscle strengthening, figure improvement and fitness training. Besides burning calories, you also work on stability and flexibility and improving your posture (coordination and balance).
What do you need?
The Xcore trainers (tubes with grit) are available in the studios of Sportcentrum VU. For this class it is important that you wear good, supportive indoor sports shoes and comfortable sports clothing. You also need to bring your own sports mat. Furthermore, it is recommended to bring a water bottle and a towel for sweating. Note: The use of a towel is mandatory at Sportcentrum VU, in all group classes and in the fitness.
