Muay Thai, or Thai boxing, is an ancient martial art that has been practised in Thailand for centuries. It is an advanced form of kickboxing.

While it sometimes seems like anything is allowed in Muay Thai, there are rules that must be followed. For instance, the use of fists, elbows, knees and legs is allowed. The technique of using fists is about the same as in boxing.

Muay Thai is a striking sport with fighters using a combination of these eight points of contact in the ring. It incorporates traditional elements like the Wai Kru Ram Muay dance ritual, Mongkon headgear, and Sarama music. It has a rich history, with legends like Nai Khanom Tom, and it became a national sport during the Rattanakosin Kingdom era.

Today, Muay Thai is practiced worldwide, offering numerous benefits such as calorie burning, self-defense skills, mental toughness, self-confidence, and improved physical fitness.
