Discover Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at VU University – Train with a Black Belt from Brazil!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is one of the most effective martial arts in the world, focusing on leverage, technique, and strategy to control and submit an opponent—regardless of size or strength. Developed in Brazil and instrumental in the rise of MMA and the UFC, BJJ is a combat-tested system that builds both skill and resilience.

Now, VU University students have the chance to train under Mr. Barea, a second-degree black belt from Brasília, Brazil, certified under Fabiano Valadares (Alliance)—one of the most prestigious teams in the world. With years of experience coaching medal-winning athletes, Mr. Barea brings not just world-class technique but also the deeper philosophy of Jiu-Jitsu: discipline, self-mastery, and the mindset of a warrior.
